This camp is located in the heart of the Rocklands, in the northernmost part of the Cederberg Wilderness Area. Known for its dramatic wind-carved sandstone formations, vibrant springtime flowers, and ancient rock art, the rugged Cederberg landscape is a place of unique natural beauty.

Nestled between striking rock faces and picturesque vineyards in the Agter-Pakhuis Valley, the 10 fully equipped boutique glamping tents welcome nature lovers, adventure seekers and those simply looking to recharge their batteries. There are multiple hiking trails between boulders across the property with welcome sights of rock pools and a waterfall on the property, and walks with San rock art in the area. If you're lucky, you might even spot the elusive Verreaux's eagle, nesting high against the cliffs. A scenic drive to the top section of the farm (accessible only with a 4x4 vehicle) takes you to 60 hectares of rooibos tea lands, 260 hectares of unspoiled fynbos gorges blooming with wildflowers in season, and a rock cave - the perfect spot for a picnic. Alternatively, take a more laid-back approach and spend the day at the camp swimming in the farm dam, or sipping some fine wines at the winery next door.

Set amongst shady trees on the banks of the Kunene River, the lodge is one of the most remote camps in southern Africa. You’ll fall asleep to the sound of rushing water, while by day you explore one of the driest deserts in the world. Activities here are varied, including boating (water levels permitting), walking, viewing breathtaking landscapes, as well as carefully guided quad-bike excursions that tread lightly on the dunes. In this isolated region, the Himba people continue their nomadic, traditional way of life and when in the area, guests can meet them and learn about their lifestyle and traditions. The camp comprises seven ultra-spacious canvas en-suite rooms under thatch. Each has been built on a wooden deck, with elevated walkways linking them to the main area. The view from each suite is spectacular, overlooking the Kunene River and mountains of Angola. These include a comfortable sunken seating area, an extra-large bed with a canopy and netting, and indoor and outdoor showers. The large deck is ideal for private dining or simply unwinding and soaking in the sights and sounds of this unique wilderness.

Arriving here is like entering another world - the Skeleton Coast is the northern part of the Atlantic coast of Namibia, which stretches southwards from the Angolan border as far as Swakop River. Although the name is sometimes used to describe the entire Namib Desert coast, the indigenous San people of the Namibian interior called the region "The Land God Made in Anger", while Portuguese sailors once referred to it as "The Gates of Hell". Today, the area is famed for its unique coastline with vast breakers rolling in from the South Atlantic to the backdrop of the desert and towering dunes. The lodge and cabins are one-of-a-kind in the world, resembling the stranded ships that litter the shores and waters of this coastline - giving the coast its name. Broken spars reach for the skies, and the wooden structures appear to be lying in the ever-encroaching sands of the desert. The interiors of both the main lodge and cabins are an exquisite blend of warm woods, hand-crafted furniture, and classic finishing touches by local designers and artists. The focus when creating this wondrous space was elegance and comfort amidst the harsh environment surrounding it. Nestled among the trees on an island spit, the lodge overlooks beautiful Lake Murray. Here in the remote reaches of Papua New Guinea, you truly feel that you are on the edge of the earth. The almost unbroken quiet of the lake is barely disturbed by the gentle sounds of dugout canoes seamlessly gliding through the water. Despite some Western influences, the tribes in this remote area still maintain many of their ancient and traditional customs and ways of life. Lake Murray Lodge has a clean and fresh design, the main building is designed with a wraparound veranda from which you can enjoy the breathtaking sunset over the tranquil lake. You’re accommodated in 12 individual cabins built around the edge of the water. Wake in the mornings to the sounds of the tropical insects and birds while taking in the wonderful view of the lake from the private veranda. Each cabin is constructed with local timber and sago woven matting to reflect the natural location. They are furnished with king twin or double beds, ceiling fans, modern ensuite bathrooms and a private veranda. In keeping with the eco-friendly philosophy, the entire lodge operation is powered with the latest technology in solar power. This provides 24-hour electricity with 240-volt power, a luxury in this remote location. A large garden provides fresh vegetables and fruit on site. The kitchen staff cook on a wood-fired stove and outdoor grill for the daily catch. Lake Murray is only accessible by private charter from Mount Hagen or Karawari Lodge. At about 2000 square kilometres in the wet season, Lake Murray is the largest lake in Papua New Guinea. Island communities of stilted houses dot the water landscape of the lake. The tribes that inhabit the small, remote villages live their life on the water. Dugout canoes are their primary mode of transportation, and the abundant stock of freshwater fish provide their staple food source. You will be welcomed to the various villages, where you can witness and interact in a number of activities including traditional weaving, face and body painting, tribal warrior demonstrations, and traditional sing-sing. A sing sing is the unique celebration display that is unique to each tribe and typically expressed through traditional dress, song and dance.
