Located in Arusha, the starting point for the majority of Tanzania safaris, the hotel offers a very comfortable start to get you in the safari mood. The hotel has fabulous views of Mount Meru, the second-highest peak in the country and is only 45 minutes from Kilimanjaro Airport and 20 minutes from Arusha Airport.

There’s a good range of facilities with a choice of restaurants and bars, a swimming pool and a gym. The hotel is very close to Mt Meru golf course and the large gardens are home to an array of birds and butterflies.

The comfortable rooms are all air-conditioned and have television, tea and coffee-making facilities, Wi-Fi, a mini fridge and a room safe. If you’re returning from safari there’s a laundry service to freshen up your clothes.

This tented camp is located within the central Serengeti, a prime location renowned for its breath-taking scenery and abundant wildlife. The camp features 16 spacious tents they are elegantly furnished, each featuring 2 queen-sized and comfortable beds draped with mosquito netting, en-suite bathrooms with hot showers, as well as private verandas where you can relax and take in the stunning views. The camp also has a bar and both inside and outside dining area, where delicious meals are served around the comfort of a campfire. You’re ideally situated for exploring the Serengeti, offering excellent access to the park's wildlife-rich areas. The camp’s location makes it a strategic base for witnessing the Great Migration, one of nature’s most spectacular events, where millions of wildebeest and other herbivores traverse the plains in search of fresh grazing. Game drives are conducted by experienced guides who provide in-depth knowledge of the region’s flora and fauna, ensuring a rich and informative experience. In addition to game drives, the camp offers nature walks, bird watching, and the opportunity for cultural interactions with the local Maasai communities. These are based on our personal experience of the hotel, camp or lodge and should not be compared against ratings you find elsewhere. We intend to guide you and don’t be put off by a low tent rating as some of our favourites fall into the 2 and 3-tent categories.​

It is also important to bear in mind that standards vary from country to country and a 4-tent hotel in South Africa cannot be compared with a 4-tent hotel in another part of the world.
