Ongava Lodge offers an extraordinary safari experience in the heart of Namibia. Located within the Ongava Game Reserve, bordering Etosha National Park, the lodge offers unparalleled opportunities to witness Namibia's wildlife in its natural habitat.

Perched on a hill overlooking a waterhole, the lodge enjoys stunning views of the surrounding plains. Located in the malaria-free Eastern Cape, Pumba Private Game Reserve offers chance of "Big Five" game drives. The reserve has been at the forefront of wildlife reintroduction in the region and is home to the rare white lion and leopard. There are two lodges in the reserve, each with its own facilities. Water Lodge and Bush Lodge have similar facilities including sun deck and swimming pool, a lounge and restaurant. Water Lodge rooms have views over the lake. As well as game drives there are also bush walks, stargazing, bird watching and a spa if you need a little pampering. The rooms at both lodges are attractively furnished, air conditioned and have their own deck and plunge pool. Each has a slightly different feel and is located in a different part of the reserve.

Located in town centre, the hotel offers a very comfortable place to break your journey along the Garden Route. You're within easy reach of the local attractions, such as nature reserves, arts and crafts, lagoon cruises and some of the top restaurants in the area. These are based on our personal experience of the hotel, camp or lodge and should not be compared against ratings you find elsewhere. We intend to guide you and don’t be put off by a low tent rating as some of our favourites fall into the 2 and 3-tent categories.​

It is also important to bear in mind that standards vary from country to country and a 4-tent hotel in South Africa cannot be compared with a 4-tent hotel in another part of the world.
