The hotel is located a short drive (10-15 minutes) from Plettenburg Bay and sits on the edge of Matjies River Gorge, enjoying wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. It is the ideal place to stay if you want to enjoy the beauty and many attractions of "Plett" and the coast, but you also want some nature, peace and quiet.  There is a fantastic deck where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served as well as some lounge areas where you can relax. The hotel also has a lovely indoor restaurant, for those cooler evenings.  The beautiful swimming pool is great spot to catch some sun or relax poolside with a good novel. There's plenty to do in the surrounding area, walking trails, whale watching in season, horse riding to name a few. These are based on our personal experience of the hotel, camp or lodge and should not be compared against ratings you find elsewhere. We intend to guide you and don’t be put off by a low tent rating as some of our favourites fall into the 2 and 3-tent categories.​
