There's a sundeck and small plunge pool, ideal for a dip on a hot day breakfast is served in-house and lunch and dinner can be organised if booked in advance. You are just minutes away from all the wonderful culinary delights of Cape Town so don't miss out! All the rooms have a different design and have made use of local textiles, artworks and have a bright colourful feel. All have air conditioning, television, minibar and safe.

Set right on the promenade in Sea Point, this beautiful old hotel is something of a local landmark. This splendid 1920's Cape Dutch building sits between the mountains and the sea. The terrace is the ideal please to sit with a coffee, or something stronger, and watch the world go by and enjoy the vibrant beach scene which is right in front of the hotel.  There's an excellent restaurant and popular courtyard bar, there's also a beautiful spa which is very welcome after a busy day shopping or sightseeing. The rooms all have air conditioning, television, minibar and safe, loft rooms overlook the courtyard or table mountain and classic rooms are equally spacious although do not have a view of the sea.

These are based on our personal experience of the hotel, camp or lodge and should not be compared against ratings you find elsewhere. We intend to guide you and don’t be put off by a low tent rating as some of our favourites fall into the 2 and 3-tent categories.​
