The Garden Route

The Garden Route - the ultimate African road trip!
Stretching from Mossel Bay to Storms River, you pass a scenic coastline and bays with turquoise water, hills bedecked seasonally with a carpet of wildflowers (September to March), quaint towns, and plenty of opportunities to stop and explore the many attractions and delights of this region.
Mossel Bay is an excellent viewing point of the seasonal whale migration (May to November) while Knysna and Plettenberg Bay invite you to explore and indulge in water sports, fine food and fantastic hotels, lodges and B&Bs in Plettenberg Bay. A little gem is Nature's Valley, a paradise for relaxation, this secluded haven boasts pristine beaches, lagoons, and untouched natural beauty.
Beyond the coast, you’ll find Oudtshoorn and the Cango Caves which offer a spectacular underground wonderland, while nearby ostrich farms provide a unique experience to witness how these incredible creatures are humanely farmed. Wilderness is where you can hike or bike through untouched nature reserves, kayak through tranquil waterways, or spot dolphins and whales from the shore. Tsitsikamma National Park is where you can hike through indigenous forests, bungee jump off the Bloukrans Bridge (the highest in Africa!), or spot marine life on a boat trip.
